This
hunt is also top rate. Eastern Turkey’s
are abundant on
our private ranches. Eastern Turkey’s
are very large weighing
in at 18-25 pounds with a spur length ¾ to 1 ¾
and beard length and beard length from 8 to 12 inches.
Temperatures this
time of year range from 40 to 70 degrees during the day and from 25 to
45 at
night.
This
is a very exciting and eventful hunt with a success rate near 100
percent. Client
will not be disappointed with this
hunt for it will be one to remember.
Iowa
is also a great place to fulfill the Grand Slam of Turkey.
Spring turkey hunts in Iowa are a 2 on 1 -- 3
day hunt. In Iowa, you can only shoot 1 bird and the tag
is one that needs to be applied for. The charge for this hunt is
$1350.00. This price includes Lodging, meals and primer
hunting property. We
allow hunters to use both
gun and bow to harvest there trophy Tom.
Lodging
We
have 2 separate camps. One is a fine Bed and Breakfast that
has all
the accommodations a hunter would need along with plenty of room for
the
family. Are other camp is a house we own in the heart of
turkey
country. This camp is the perfect turkey/deer camp for any
Trophy Hunter.
Tails
of the Hunt is also a NWTF recognized/certified Outfitter. We have had numerous film
crews join us on
our trophy turkey hunts.
Season Dates and Limit
April
14, 2008
– May 18,
2008. Again Iowa is a one bird limit which must have a
visible beard. Applications for nonresident Spring Wild Turkey
Hunting Licenses must be applied for from Dec. 15, 2007, through Jan.
